Sometimes we’re met with challenges and today I’d like to share with you a personal challenge I’m going through and how it makes me realize that health is something we should all strive for…
Over the last month we found out that my son has mild to hearing loss in his right ear. I was sad to hear this news because every parent wants a “perfect” child. There are a whole slew of tests that come with this new diagnosis. You may have seen me on Facebook with a picture of my son for his MRI and EKG that he just had last Friday.
Both his MRI and EKG showed no markers for why he’s having this hearing loss, however they did find that he had an abnormal EKG, showing evidence of an enlarged heart.
I’m crossing my fingers and toes that it’s nothing (I will know tomorrow), but the last few days have been torture for me as we await tomorrow’s cardiology appointment.
I share this with you, because it makes me realize how special we all are and how health really IS everything. We all have people around us who love us, care for us and genuinely want us happy. They care if we’re hurting, if we’re struggling, if we’re not liking ourselves and our bodies.
My beautiful son Hayden makes me want to get in even better shape. Sometimes it’s hard to lose weight and get in good shape for ourselves, so if it means that you do it for your family, your kids, a loved one, then do it. Your health is everything, how you feel about yourself is everything and do me a favor, do one small thing today to move your health forward – drink more water, walk a little bit, stop eating when you’re satisfied, one thing. If you can’t do it for yourself, can you do it for this guy….
In Love and Health,
Marna
May your son Hayden have a total and complete recovery. There are excellent doctors and hopefully they will be able to take care of whatever the problem is. Take care of yourself. I know that you are going through a hard time. Be well.
I am praying you get good news from the cardiologist about your darling boy. I’m sorry to hear of his hearing loss, but hearing loss doesn’t make him any less perfect. (I know you know this, so that’s just a reminder!) It will probably make his life a bit more difficult, but there’s growth in difficulty, right? I have found that the most compassionate, loving people usually have had some sort of challenge that they’ve faced, and I’m sure Hayden will grow up to be a wonderful man. Hugs to your family~
I completely lost the hearing in my right ear about 18 months ago to an ear infection. If it’s any consolation it has not slowed me down one bit and most days I hardly notice. Your son may have already made adjustments and will have to carefully protect the hearing in his good ear, but has every chance of living a happy and normal life.
Marna I have enjoyed the information that you have shared in the past.
I would really like to do something good for you.

You are such a blessing to so many, I want you all to be showered with blessings!
Dear Marna,
I’m praying for your son, you and the rest of your family. In 2005, I had complete hearing loss in one ear and regained my hearing within two months. Today, I have perfect hearing in both ears. I pray your son has the same miraculous recovery. Thank you for all you have done for me and others.
Love, Rose
