There are three main reasons for self-sabotage and they include: (1) having a strong mom or dad influence, (2) unfortunately undergoing abuse as a child, and (3) having a significant other knowingly or unknowingly sabotaging your efforts. 


I could dive into each in great detail, but each of these reasons are so unique to you and would require individual support. So for today's purpose, I'd like to get you taking action and quickly shifting your self-sabotaging patterns.

#1: End Self-Sabotage: NLP Technique

The first place self-sabotage ALWAYS steps into your life is in your mind!

I want you to think about this scenario. It's 3:00 pm and you are tired and you so desperately want to take a break but you have to keep going. You begin hearing in your mind, “just grab some cookies and you will feel so much better” or “just eat it, you'll be better tomorrow” or something of that nature.

NEXT what happens is that you begin SEEING in your mind's eye the precise food that you want and desire. 
Unless you get in the way of this (with the tools I will be sharing) this image gets larger and your inner voice inside your head gets louder encouraging you to eat.

It's all too much and you find yourself giving in – and you're frustrated because today you thought would really be the day that you could gain control over your eating. Argggg!!!!!

I want you to know that it is absolutely not your fault when you give in. The power of hearing and seeing the food you want get louder and all consuming is exptremely difficult to overcome unless you have a specific system and tools to use.

The second you begin hearing what it is that you want in your mind, make the voice goofy, soft and silly sounding. And, if you see an image, make the go from color to grey and from close up to far away.

In using this NLP technique (Neuro Linguistic Technique), all of a sudden you will have taken the power out of your voice in your head encouraging you to eat. By shrinking and changing it the image, you will also diffuse the energy of self-sabotage into a powerful and successful technique that will shrink your old self-sabotaging ways by 80%.

#2: End Self-Sabotage: Mindset Technique

In order to fully blast through your self-sabotage it's critical you understand your self-sabotage pattern.

In order to understand your specific self-sabotaging pattern, I’m going to ask you a question that NO other coach or therapist has EVER asked you before:
What has to be true in your belief system in order for you to sabotage your body goals?
Read this question again because it's one of the most powerful questions you can ask yourself.

In order for a behavior like self-sabotage to show up in your life, then you MUST have beliefs you're carrying around that allows your self-sabotaging behavior to exist.
When you sabotage your body goals, you MUST have beliefs that allows self-sabotage to happen.

What are the beliefs you are allowing into your life that are self-sabotaging you?
 As you start becoming aware of these old beliefs, start reflecting on the following questions:

1. Where did these beliefs come from?

2. Who encouraged you to think and feel this way about yourself? Your family? Friends? An old boyfriend? Or maybe you just created it all by yourself.

3. Exchange your old beliefs with words, images and phrases that will help you get where you want to be rather than blocking the way.

The truth is, you deserve all the health, happiness, positive relationships and a fabulous body. You need to own that truth. Commit today to believe this yourself and in this commitment, you'll get out of your own way.
